How to Load and Set Up a Reusable Pen

This guide explains how to correctly load a prepared 3 mL cartridge into your reusable pen, assemble the device and prime it before use.

Always follow the instructions provided with your cartridge and any directions from your healthcare professional regarding its contents, storage and intended use.

What You’ll Need

• Reusable pen
• Prepared 3 mL cartridge
• Compatible pen tip
• Alcohol swab
• Clean, dry work surface

Step 1: Prepare Your Equipment

• Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
• Place the pen, cartridge and pen tip on a clean surface.
• Check that the cartridge is intact and securely sealed before loading.

Step 2: Insert the Cartridge

• Unscrew the pen body to access the cartridge holder.
• Place the prepared 3 mL cartridge securely into the holder.
• Ensure the cartridge is seated correctly and sitting straight.
• Screw the pen body back together firmly without overtightening.

Step 3: Expose the Cartridge End

• Remove the cap from the cartridge end of the pen.
• Check that the cartridge stopper is correctly positioned and accessible.

Step 4: Attach a New Pen Tip

• Remove the protective seal from a new compatible pen tip.
• Attach the tip securely to the pen.
• Remove the outer protective cap, followed by the inner cap.

Use a new pen tip each time and dispose of used tips safely.

Step 5: Prime the Pen

Priming helps remove trapped air and confirms that the pen is dispensing correctly.

• Hold the pen upright with the tip pointing upward.
• Gently tap the cartridge area so any air bubbles move toward the top.
• Dial a small amount.
• Press the button fully.
• Repeat as required until a small drop of liquid appears at the tip.

The pen is now primed and ready for use.

Step 6: Set the Required Amount

Each click of the Elite Living Supps reusable pen corresponds to approximately 0.01 mL.

Turn the dial until the required volume is selected.

Always determine the appropriate amount according to the instructions supplied with your prepared cartridge or advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Step 7: After Use

• Carefully remove the used pen tip.
• Dispose of it in an appropriate sharps container.
• Replace the pen cap.
• Store the pen and cartridge according to the storage instructions applicable to the contents of your cartridge.
